BCIL has vast experience and expertise in Project Consultancy.

The consultancy services include:

  • Feasibility studies, sectoral studies, market surveys, diversification plans in areas viz. vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, biofertilizers, biopesticides, tissue culture, genetic engineering, etc.
  • Analytical studies on issues and perspectives at national and regional level, independent assessment of impact of long term programs on R&D, HRD, Capacity Building, etc.
  • Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for specialised facilities viz. Biotech Parks and Incubators, Centres of Excellence etc.

 

By virtue of its long association, BCIL understands the needs of various stakeholders and communicates with them at their wavelength for effective coordination and successful execution of consultancy projects. BCIL has capability of putting together high quality holistic information, cost effectively in the shortest possible time frame due to in-depth insights into the various issues related to commercialization of different biotech products and processes, experience of three decades in executing a wide array of consultancy projects and the linkages with all the key stakeholders.

 

 

Biotech Parks and Incubators

BCIL has been assisting state governments in identifying and prioritization of the biotechnology sectors for which the state offers unique advantages, recommending specialized biotech facilities to promote entrepreneurship and attract investments, suggesting management model and working out financial feasibility etc.

 

BCIL has prepared DPRs/Feasibility Reports/Business Plans for 23 Biotech Parks in 16 states.

BCIL is assisting state government in operationalization of Biotech Parks/ Incubators.

Analytical Studies

 

BCIL has extensive expertise and experience in conducting analytical studies in various aspects of biotechnology management. Reports for evaluation studies, impact assessment studies, feasibility studies, course curriculum re-framing exercise, teaching feedback portal, etc. have been prepared by BCIL.

Such analytical studies are important to identify initiatives for strengthening and improving the effectiveness of the programs with interim incorporation of new strategies ensuring sustainability and continuous enhancement of program delivery. The National Biotechnology Development Strategy recommends a matrix of measurement of processes as well as outcomes for error detection, correction, and re-design of initiatives on continuous basis.
